Isaac Julian started playing basketball, across the street at his favorite neighbors, at the age of three. He became a dedicated athlete and superfan of the sport throughout his life and had a special affinity for 3 on 3’s. In honor of his hoop dreams, the IJLF board of directors decided to sponsor a 3 on 3 basketball tournament during the 49th annual National Coho Festival this year.
Held at Platte River Elementary Gymnasium, the participants, families & volunteers filled the gym with great energy and team spirit. We were pleased with the turnout for our first event and were told by parents and coaches that next year they will bring even more teams! We provided winners with medals, all teams with goody bags and information on IJLF/SA&P, and the Coho Festival gave them commemorative water bottles. The funds raised by the team entry fees will go toward our scholarship fund. We are so grateful for the generosity of the Coho Festival committee for their awesome contribution to the fund as well as for providing us with this opportunity to honor Isaac’s memory & his love of basketball.

Jenn is also the brains & brawn behind our Shine On Gear. She has researched quality garments to bear the message of IJLF. We sell AND take orders for shine on gear at our events as well as others around the area.
